The new AMILO GraphicBooster was designed for the Fujitsu-Siemens AMILO Notebook Sa 3650, but it supports other computers as well. It is powered by the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3870, has a 512 MB GDDR3 dedicated video memory, and supports several interfaces, including DVI-I and HDMI. The result is better overall graphic performance in the form of higher precision, better lighting, enhanced visual effects, and more realism.

 

Since gamers often complain that laptops’ touch pads and keyboards are inadequate for gaming, Fujitsu Siemens installed two USB 2.0 ports so users could connect external keyboards and mice. Another interesting feature – reserved for the AMILO Notebook Sa 3650 users – is the ability to connect up to three external displays simultaneously.

 

The AMILO GraphicBooster can be carried around quite easily, since its dimensions are 180 x 130 x 33.5 mm and it weighs only 0.5 kg. Owners of the AMILO Notebook Sa 3650, for instance, can travel with a combined weight of 2.9 kg, all accessories included. However, laptops with larger displays (15.4-inch or 17-inch monitors, for instance) entail a heavier weight, making the GraphicBooster a less attractive option.
