This medical animation depicts a LASIK procedure to correct near sightedness (myopia) of the eye. LASIK stands for Laser-Assisted in Situ Keratomileusis and is a procedure that permanently changes the shape of the cornea, the clear covering over the front of the eye. (Source: 3D Animation)
