PBS lets us sneak a peek at one of nature’s most amazing creatures – the bee. This video takes us deep into the honeybee hive, revealing its inhabitants – the queen, worker bees, and drones. It also provides a rare close-up look at the bees’ “waggle dance” – a language through which the honeybees communicate with one another to direct each other towards a pollen source. Scientists say that this “language” is the only symbolic language known to exist outside that of humans and lower primates.
