This miniature gyroplane, which was designed by the American firm “Sportcopter,” is a two-place aerial vehicle running on a 190 hp Subaru 2.5 liter engine. At a size of 10’x83’’, this mini-helicopter can carry up to 600 pounds of load, and according to its inventors, has “all-weather capabilities.” Among its most notable features are a powerful prerotator for short take off, independent steering, and toe-operated hydraulic disc brakes. Sportcopter engineers say their vehicle stands out with its simplified maintenance, aerodynamic streamlining, added propeller efficiency, and effective shock-resistant protection of vital components.
