At CES 2009 the iRobot company showcased its newgutter cleaning bot. This small robot has a remote that can be attached and detached from the robot which controls the forward and backward movement of the unit.  It can clean about 120 feet in 10 minutes according to iRobot, although you might still need to clean the dirt the robot thrown away. The Looj will retail for just under $130 and it will be available spring of 2009.

great idea but the machine does not do what it is intended to do. if
you have gutter clips to balance your gutters it will not work.
Returning the items and their customer service suck. they indicate 10
business days for credit, what the heck takes that long from return.
Day 25 and no email response from them. had to dispute with my credit
card company. never again buy a product from them
