This multi-touch interactive surface was developed by the French firm Immersion as part of the company’s iliGHT project. Measuring 72 x 96 cm, their multi-user tabletop display achieves refresh rates of up to 120Hz on a 1400 x 1050 resolution screen. The device is suitable for Windows, Linux, and Mac OS operating systems, and includes a high performance graphics calculator in addition to custom projection management software. While this project is still in its initial stage, Immersion already announced plans to release a second prototype which will support WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, provide full HD quality with many format ratios, and would be able to freely interact with other devices, such as mobiles, RFID tags, and tablet PCs.
