During CES 2009 the TFOT team interviewed James Prueitt, VP of MTI Micro, which is currently working on a new fuel cell technology for consumer applications. The fuel cell displayed in this video has 25 watt-hours of power which, according to Mr. Prueitt, is enough to charge a cell phone 8-10 times using one methanol cartridge, which should cost a few dollars. MTI Micro plans to have units ready at the end of 2009.
