Academy of Achievement – the Hall of Science is a fascinating website featuring accomplished scientists and explorers from all walks of life. The site brings their biographies and profiles as well as interviews conducted with them. For example, one can read interviews conducted with Robert Ballard – who discovered the Titanic, Murray Gell-Mann – the mathematician and theoretical physicist and developer of the Quark theory, Paul MacCready – a famous aeronautical engineer, Jonas Salk – developer of the Polio Vaccine, and Alan Shepard – the first American in space.
