The unique power strip indicates when electricity flows through the transparent electrical cord by patterns and pulses of flowing light and color through the implementation of electroluminescent wires. The more electrical current, the more intense the glow. Not merely an interesting design feature, the indicator cable is meant as a glaring reminder of energy consumption.
