The Neonode N2 is equipped with a 2.0" LCD display and a 2 Mega pixel Fixed Focus Camera for still pictures and video play-back (MPEG, WMV). In addition to being an MP3 Player (MP3, WMA, Wav), the Neonode N2 is also a GPRS Quad band phone (850, 900, 1800 and 1900 MHz bands). The Neonode's small dimensions (47x77x14.7 mm) and light weight (approx 60 grams) make it very portable.

An infra red light is projected on its optical punch screen, so that the Neonode N2 can react to the tapping and location of one's finger. The Neonode user interface allows all available options to be carried out with a sweep of a finger, eliminating the use of buttons altogether. The screen displays arrows that indicate the different possible sweeping movements.

Headphones can be plugged in via a standard 3.5 mm plug. In order to download films and music to the Neonode N2 one simply connects the device to a PC and then drags and drops the desired tunes and films into the folder. All data is stored on a MiniSD card. Therefore, users can expand the Neonode's storage space by choosing a MiniSD card with larger capacity (up to 32GB). The price tag on this device is approx. ₤250.
