Amazon has settled a case with two Kindle users who sued the company after it deleted copies of George Orwell's 1984 from users' devices without warning. Amazon will pay $150,000 to law firm Kamber Edelson LLC, which represented the plaintiffs. A portion of those funds, however, must be donated to a charity focusing on literacy, children's issues, education, health, or employment. The settlement did not spell out how much would be donated.    (source: pcmag.com)
