Second Generation Surface Coming

A second generation of Microsoft's Surface computing device is two to three years away, the South by SouthWest Festival has heard. Developer Joe Olsen, whose company Phenomblue writes applications for the Surface, said he had been told the device was still in the development stage. "They haven't even got to point where they are going to commercialise," he said. Chris Bernard, user experience evangelist for Microsoft, said he could not confirm a release date.
