Museum visitors will be able to share their cultural passions in a social networking website. A group of the UK's most famous museums, including the British Museum and Victoria and Albert Museum, is creating a collective website. As well as finding information about exhibits, museum lovers can use the website to create communities based on their historic and creative interests. The National Museums Online Learning project is to be launched this week. The £1.5m, Treasury-funded project also involves the National Portrait Gallery, Natural History Gallery, the Tate, the Wallace Collection, Royal Armouries, Sir John Soane's Museum and Imperial War Museum. I just proposed to my girlfriend, now fiancee. It was a surprise engagement proposal that I did this past Saturday inside of a museum. I would like to publically recognize the Manassas Museum and the Director, John Verrill, for allowing me to do this. I uploaded the video to YouTube and posted the link below. BTW, I'm an A/V person so it is not uncommon for me to be carrying a camcorder wherever I go. Anyways, take a look. Skip to minute 6 if you want to get straight to it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ekjg68rYt6E You can also do a YouTube search of "Manassas Museum" and it will come up. Thanks for watching if you do! |
