Several weeks after launching a 250 Gbytes-per-month download cap for its residential customers, Comcast announced Wednesday that it has started rolling out a revamped "wideband" service, which offers speeds up to 50 Mbits/s. In the next few weeks, the cable provider will roll out wideband to residential and business customers in Boston, southern New Hampshire, and areas of Philadelphia and New Jersey. It is also available in Minneapolis-St. Paul, where it was launched earlier this year.    (source: comcast.com)
