China is preparing to launch its third manned space mission later this week — the nation's first where an astronaut will venture outside the spacecraft while in Earth's orbit. This extra-vehicular activity (EVA) sets the stage for China's next big challenge in space – to build a space station. Shenzhou VII is scheduled to begin its five-day mission with a launch from Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in the northwestern province of Gansu.    (source: nature.com)
