Facebook Tightens Apps, Unleashes Connect

A year after the launch of its developer platform, Facebook is looking to expand the offering with incentive programs that provide an official app "seal of approval" while also reigning in those developers looking to bog down the site with useless apps. Facebook also announced increased support and a timetable for its Friend Connect offering, as well as the option to translate applications into different languages.    (source: facebook.com)
