Firefox 3 Downloaded Over 8 Million Times

The latest version of the very popular Mozilla Firefox browser was downloaded 8,349,074 times between 2:16 p.m. ET Tuesday and 2:16 p.m. ET Wednesday. By comparison Firefox 2 was downloaded only 1.6 million times in the first 24 hours of its release. As part of the initial release, Mozilla hoped to break the Guinness World record for the most software download in 24 hours.    (source: pcworld.com)
