Taiwan's Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) hopes to speed up its progress on reaching a set of standards for LED street lamps, in a bid to catch up with the progress of governments from other countries. The agency expects to deliver its first set of standards during the first quarter of 2009. The MOEA established an alliance to work toward establishing LED lighting standards and holding quality reviews in 2007.    (source: digitimes.com)
