While the mouse as a pointing device has both survived and evolved, the trackball is nearly extinct, except on select smartphones. Trackballs are wonderful solutions for those with limited desk space, so it's a shame that there aren't more of them. Logitech, however, is revitalizing one of its classic trackball designs in the soon-to-ship Wireless Trackball M570. (source: tomshardware.com)
